I've been developing the ICA site locally, and periodically uploading it to the server so that other board members can see the progress. So keeping the sites in sync has not been an issue. But I'm at the point where I want people to add content so that we can test the site before going live. Now (and of course once we're live) I need to be sure not to overwrite any new content.
I found a description of how to sync sites at http://drupal.org/node/205368. Is this the best way to go about it? SQLyog is not free...is it worth purchasing or can PhpMyAdmin do the same things? I'm not sure I'd know how to port the updated/added items to the development server...I assume this is something I'd need to do on a per-record basis.
Do any of you use a different method for syncing? I appreciate your guidance.
Ouch
By nshoeThanks so much for raising this question. The process you point to seems pretty opaque. I'll be interested to hear of other comments.
