We currently have our website - www.generalassemblychorus.org - composed on a Windows platform using Dreamweaver which includes a couple of SQL databases. Reporting is currently done using an ASP script.
We have developed a new site using JOOMLA but the problem is that Joomla doesn't support ASP so we need someone to convert the ASP into PHP so that we can see and manipulate the data reporting.
We also have music files on the existing site available for download by chapter members. However, we need to keep an accurate count of how many copies of each file gets downloaded in order to pay copyright fees. We would need this supported on the Joomla site as well.
Our web guy's alternative workaround is to place an auto re-direct on the homepage (and other common start pages) that would take folks to the new website, and then just point back to these two items on the old site until we figure out the best way to do them in Joomla. However, this would mean that people would see the new URL in the address bar of their browser once they were re-directed, and might be confused.
Is there anyone out there who would like to take this on? If so, please contact me. This is not necessarily a volunteer effort.
