NCTech4Good Computer Lab Cleanup Project
This is an ongoing project to cleanup nonprofit computer labs. We can post information about nonprofits that have slow computers, provide links to specific needs in United Ways Volunteer Solutions, document cleanups, develop training materials and more on this site.
We can also use forums to discuss specific topics and develop training materials in the Resources section. Let me know what forums and Resource sections would be helpful and I'll create them -- send email to hallman at email.unc.edu.

Pilot project MLK Day
Plan a pilot project to clean up the computers in two computer labs on or around Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 18th, 2010), depending on whether or not we can access the computers on MLK Day. While cleanup programs are running, talk with staff and try to get an idea of how they use computers and other tech needs they have. Document the work done.
